B ♡ DIY

Hi everyone!

Did I mention I am sick? Yeah it hasn't really gotten better. But as I mentioned yesterday, I have had plenty of time to do a few DIY projects. A few days ago, my boyfriend's mum and I decided to make home-made ravioli: rolling out the dough, cutting out the little ravioli shapes, and filling them with a spinach ricotta and creamy mushroom filling. They were really delicious, and because we used healthy fillings and little oil to make them, they didn't really interfere too much with my dieting! Here a little picture of the filling process. Served with a little tomato puree and a basil leaf, these were quite nice.

My second DIY project was a sunny, yellow beaded necklace. I found a DIY guide for it on this cute blog, and the directions to it were great, it was really easy, so big shout-out to Secretlyafashionista for this adorable statement necklace! Summer is coming to an end, so I tried to keep a little sunshine with me with these shiny little yellow beads. For the full guide to do it, just check out her blog, but here a couple of pictures of me creating the necklace!

I also found two little green, blue, white, yellow and red tartan buttons in an old box of buttons, and hotglued them to a set of tiny ear-studs! They now match my new tartan scarf that the boyfriend's parents brought me back from Edinburgh and which I can't wait to wear in Autumn and Winter.

Admittedly, after the first 30 or so little beaded strands, I got sooooo bored, but in a way it's kind of therapeutic too because you don't even really need to think about what you're doing. Other than needing a little patience, this is a super easy way to make a really cute statement necklace to keep the sunshine in. (Excuse my horribly chipped nail polish guys, I've been lazy and not re-done them...)

And here a couple of pictures of me wearing the finished necklace (this was before I got really ill). Do you guys have any good DIY projects and jewelry tutorials? I've been loving doing little crafty things lately and I'm constantly looking for more. I might do a GIVEAWAY of a necklace like this one, would you be interested? Comment below and let me know if you'd like me to do that!

B's Summer Accessories

Hi again!

While I was shooting my summer products photos, I thought I might also take a couple of snaps of the accessories/jewelry I've been loving in the past month or two. I get my jewelry from all kinds of places, but I do have a couple of shops where I always return!

Here's the necklaces I've been wearing the most recently.
1/ ASOS silver and black necklace (it actually belongs with necklace #4, the thin golden triangle necklace). I love these two dainty little necklaces, because they are great to wear individually or paired together, which I like because it allows me to mix my golden and my silver jewelry easily. Sadly, these necklaces have now sold out, but you can find similar ones on the ASOS website! They also currently have a great sale on!
2/ For MONTHS, I'd been eye-ing this golden lions head chunky chain necklace, and for some reason I never came about buying it, until a couple of weeks ago. Crazy, I know, as it is one of the best necklaces I own and I am completely in love with it. I know it's very on trend right now and everyone including Rihanna and various fashion bloggers owns them, but that doesn't really bother me. You can buy them on Ebay, Plndr, and many other sites, but I got mine off this sweet little online jewelry store called Kukee (watch out, Kym has a review for you about them soon!), where I get a lot of my stuff from. You can get this lion's head necklace here (and it only costs 5 pounds).
3/ My number 3 is a necklace I got a couple of weeks ago in Vienna, at H&M, because I had a 30% off gift card on a full priced item. I love it! The quality is amazing, especially considering it's H&M and their necklaces can be a bit flimsy sometimes, but this one feels heavy and nice, and the blue and shimmery stones are perfect to dress up an outfit for a night out.
4/ Little triangle necklace via ASOS (see 1/)
5/ This golden and black thick beaded necklace is a piece I bought about 4 months ago at Forever 21. They had a turquoise version too, but ultimately I had to go for the black one, because everything I wear and love is black, and I am glad I did, as the black color makes the necklace seem a lot more expensive than it was. Money well spent!

Next up, my "summer rings": I have a HUGE ring collection, as I am very much a ring lady (I can wear up to 10 rings at a time...). These are my rings of the moment: Purple glitter stone ring (Accessorize), Silver detail ring (thrifted: my all-time favorite ring since forever), brown shimmery stone ring (Accessorize), thin woven golden heart ring (friendship ring with Kym from Forever 21), thin silver woven ring with turquoise stone (Accessorize), twisted hands ring (ASOS).

And finally, my every day watch, some earrings and a couple of other little gems I have been sporting nearly every day these past few weeks: White daisy hair band (River Island), Handmade Red Rose Flower Crown (Beauxoxo on Etsy), silver mini Casio watch (via ASOS), roman coin anklet (River Island, similar here), Door Knocker Lion's Head Earstuds (both via Kukee).

B's Weekly Wishlist #1

As I've mentioned before, I am a notorious shopping addict, and while I do absolutely love to shop in actual stores, I also can't ever resist online shopping.  Here a little overview of what I've been lusting over this week... Sigh, so beautiful!
I've been currently loving nude and neutral shimmery eye shadows - I think I seriously need to take the leap and invest into an Urban Decay Palette... It'll serve me well. With more neutral eye make-up I've recently been loving darker/purple-y lipstick, like this Mac Cosmetics one in the shade Hang-Up (I, like every other make-up lover, swear by mac lipsticks, they are hands down the most amazing, long lasting, easily applicable, moisturizing and pigmented lipsticks you can get.)
Because of the heat I've had to cut down on foundation and concealer, so I'm eyeing the Real Techniques core brushes set to buff and blend my make-up nicely.
My current smell/flavor obsession is coconut (I recently raided The Body Shop when they had a sale - oops!), so this vegan thai coconut moisturizing spray to protect my hair from the heat and give an effortless, messy beach wave look is definitely on my "to-buy" list this week.
For clothing, I have been loving the minimal, clean-cut designs from the Swedish brand Monki - I just bought their white 3/4 sleeve sweater dress (grab it here on Asos before it sells out!) and I am absolutely head over heels in love with it. Effortless, casual and still sophisticated. This grey top is also begging me to buy it...
To match my minimalist clothing love I've got my eye on this pair of gorgeous sandals in white and brown leather. Pick a beautiful nail varnish in a pop-color (or some lovely nude shades) to complete the outfit.
For cooler summer nights (I'm traveling to Helsinki in a few weeks, it might get a bit frisky up North!), I am really liking this white and black coat with faux leather sleeves, which nearly reminds me of a longer version/dupe of the Chanel jacket... Soooooo lovely.
I haven't been very much into jewelry lately, though I've been looking everywhere for big, beautiful, summery statement rings. These two from Shop Dixi are just perfect: chunky, silvery, with intricate detail, turquoise gemstone and a little moon - to match my recent tattoo acquisition.
Anything that pleases your eye too? I've inserted the links to all the shops in the description above!
